Everything started with a simple question: what if voxels could be seamlessly integrated into Unreal Engine? The answer is Voxy, a powerful tool that lets you unleash your creativity.

The journey wasn't easy. Initially built on CPU, Voxy quickly reached its limits. Determined to push the boundaries, I delved into the world of GPU programming, encountering challenges and unexpected discoveries along the way.
Undeterred, I persevered, rewriting everything from scratch to harness the true power of the GPU. Just when things seemed on track, a major update to Unreal Engine threw another curveball. Voxy crashed, and restarting from scratch became the only option.
But this setback proved to be a blessing in disguise. Rebuilding Voxy from the ground up led to a more efficient and well-structured tool. With newfound power, I created stunning voxel art to showcase Voxy's capabilities.
The quest for optimization continued. Memory usage was slashed from a staggering 2GB for just 2 million voxels to a mere 100mb! This opened the door to rendering massive voxel worlds. Level of Detail (LOD) was implemented to ensure smooth performance at any distance, allowing you to render a mind-blowing 400 million voxels!
This has been a labor of love, fueled by countless early mornings and late nights. A special thanks to my family for their unwavering support throughout this journey.
