I think it’s really great to push yourself to achieve excellence and mastery over your work through technical skill, you might even surprise yourself with your own capabilities! but sometimes this treads into a toxic creative mindset, where EVERY piece has to be a perfect portfolio worthy piece, and we forget why we started creating in the first place.
