Today we're discussing Intel's crazy naming scheme for their consumer desktop CPUs. We'll go over the 4 big classifications for naming: The generation, the microarchitecture or codename, the family, and the core, as well as some smaller classifications, such as letter suffixes, the last three numbers, and sockets.
