SHOGUN Episode 5 Ending Explained
I review, breakdown and explain Shogun episode 5 on FX. I discuss the story which is set in 1600 in Japan as John Blackthorne arrived there. I react to the earthquake that impacted Izu and Toranaga during the ending, Lady Ochiba returning to Osaka and pressuring Ishido to take action, Yabushige thinking he found the spy, Mariko’s secret about her family line and Toda Buntaro’s change. I compare the story to the real events with Ieyasu Tokugawa and William Adams. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 6.
