In this video, I will show you how to import your email, calendar and contacts into Office 365 using a PST File.
When would you need to use this feature? Example 1: You might have changed email systems and not all of your email, calendar and contacts have transferred across to your new email system. This video explains this.
Example 2 – you have all your contacts in Outlook. You also have an old Excel spreadsheet with hundreds of other contacts. The problem is, you have noticed that some of the contacts in Excel are also in your Outlook contacts, but not all. You could painstakingly go through each entry and then manually delete the duplicates or you could use the ‘do not import duplicates’ feature of Outlook to automatically do this for you.
Example 3 – you are running two email accounts. Both use Outlook. One is personal and one is for business. Rather than maintaining two calendars, you have decided to merge the two together. You could either manually go through each calendar or export one calendar into a PST file and import it into your main calendar using the ‘do not import duplicates’ option.
