Stop using PS Rounds! Punisher SVD Ammo & Builds Guide (patch 12.12)
Want to build the best SVD for Punisher 6? Today we revisit this beast of a weapon in patch 12.12, as well as the ammunition available in the 762x54r category. Despite the popularity of PS rounds for it’s theoretical ability to one shot opponents with a thorax hit, I believe that BT is a much better round overall, due to a combination of enhanced penetration and recoil reduction.
The SVD was hurt by the recoil changes more than your regular semi auto weapon, simply because the recoil was high on this gun to begin with. So we’ll aim to build the lowest recoil that we can, within reason, enabling us to quickly take follow up shots and two tap our enemies.
The old budget builds from prior wipes don’t make sense any more, as you cannot complete this quest on factory any longer! Also, to get good ergo and make the weapon feel snappy in ADS, you have to remove the suppressor - but this then makes the weapon hard to sustain firepower with overall and with no alternative compensators, it’s hard to pass up.
