How to Get Past the Hyper-V Boot Loader Failed Error When Installing Windows
If you are trying to install a Windows virtual machine on a Microsoft Hyper-V host and are getting an error message that says "The boot loader failed", then there is an easy fix for this issue. You may also see a message that says "A boot image was not found" or "The boot loader did not load an operating system". This tends to happen more so when creating a Windows 11 or Server edition VM and might have to do with using a Generation 2 VM so you can add a TPM.
