Terminal Commands:

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install ubuntu-release-upgrader-core
Set the release upgrader to the LTS version:
Display the file
cat /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades
Edit the file
sudo nano /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades
sudo do-release-upgrade -d
