We joined contemporary silversmith Ndidi Ekubia on a tour of some of her regular sources of inspiration and in her studio in Manchester. Whilst demonstrating the mesmeric process of raising, chasing and embossing her signature organic vessels, Ndidi discusses her love of pattern, the traditional tools she uses and her desire to create functional objects. The resulting 'Sparkle vase' is painstakingly hand-crafted by pushing and manipulating metal to its limits to create a textural, fluid quality to the surface.
