*Sound Clips | 8th Gen Honda Civic R18 with SI Axleback Exhaust*
Here is a short video with sound clips and footage of an OEM K20 Civic SI Axleback exhaust installed on a R18 Honda Civic. The R18 Engine was equipped on the Civic DX, LX and EX from model years 2006 - 2015 in North America (8th and 9th generation).
This modification should work on the 8th and 9th gen civics, but buy the axleback that matches up with your generation. Keep in mind that this is an axleback exhaust, meaning that only the exhaust from the rear axle to the rear tip is replaced. All other factory exhaust piping is retained. The parts you will need to install a Civic SI axleback exhaust are as follows:
1. A Civic SI Axleback exhaust from a coupe or Sedan (both are the same from the axleback)
2. An SI donut exhaust flange (from your gen civic)
3a. A few washers (same size as your exhaust bolts)
3b. OR exhaust bolts/springs from a Civic SI (they are shorter)
