ASSSS3R Christmas Gameplay Update

ASSSS3R is a remaster for Serious Sam 3: BFE, created by myself, Danny S (creator of the Serious DOOM mod), with new animations for enemies and weapons (weapon animations not displayed in this footage as they're still in progress) created by UrbandeHuman and Spy's Cr3ed (animators and level designers). The mod aims to restructure and redefine BFE with new setpieces, environmental storytelling, reworked gameplay, retooled weapon/enemy balancing, and visual updates across the board.
This update has been in development for over a year now, being a spare-time project for us due to varying schedules, jobs, and life in general. I figured I should show the progress made over the past year, though be aware we're still polishing and refining as we go. I've made the mistake of trying to set deadlines on when this update releases, and even now I can guarantee it won't release before the end of this year, given what is left to do. So the tentative release date is "when it's done."
For all this spare time spent working on a Serious Sam mod of all things, several of us are also gradually pivoting towards an original game project together with other fans of Serious Sam and older FPS titles. Working on this mod has taught us a few gameplay-related elements that we want to translate over to something new, so come the start or 2024, that is going to become our main focus. Rest assured, this update will release before anything related to that comes out.
Once the update is mostly done, there will be another video to better showcase some of the changes and discuss its potential future later down the line. For now, enjoy this sample and feel free to leave any feedback.
