Since the project started, one of the main driving forces has always been to explore new soundscapes. The excitement felt through novelty is something I'm always after. In fact, one of the many meanings of the name, Neokosmos, comes from this need for exploration [of sound].
These days, I find myself in an odd situation. There are more than 40 tracks that I've written over the course of the last decade, which are almost ready to share with the world. Yet I also feel strongly compelled to share material recorded the very same day.
I feel the need to establish a spontaneous and fresh connexion with you. I think that many things in life are better when acted upon in a timely manner. There's a certain headspace we all share, and culture plays a big part in it. With modern technology, we have the opportunity to share ideas broadly and almost immediatly.
So that's what these short videos have allowed me to do, and through that, I keep my motivation sharp. And believe me, I need it as sharp as can be to give birth to this monster of a project !
