The latest Genesis G80 2021 is completely different from the previous model and now a lot more similar to its competitors. This brings us to the main point of the G80. Its main competitors are the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and BMW 5 Series.
The Genesis G80 isn't a direct competitor to those as they are against each other in terms of the available engines, but if we’re talking about those cars with engines that match the offers from the G80 it is a very viable and more affordable luxury sedan.
This means you can get your hands on a really good premium luxury sedan for less money than you needed before.
The G80 can be powered with one of these three engines. Diesel power comes from a 2.2 inline 4 with 154 kW and 441 Nm, while the remaining two options are petrol, starting with a 2.5 I4 with 224 kW and 421 Nm and ending with a flagship 3.5 V6 twin-turbo with 279 kW and 530 Nm.
That is how good it really is. If you are looking for such a car and a V6 petrol is your powertrain choice, the G80 should be on your shortlist. And, with such competition, that says a lot.
