What is Laminas?
In this short video, Matthew Weier O’Phinney, Zend Principal Engineer and PHP expert, discusses the origins of the Laminas Project, including the transition from Zend Framework to Laminas
First, he talks about the process for transferring the Zend Framework to the Linux Foundation as the Laminas project.
Next, he talks about the benefits of that change, and how the open governance model allows for better community contributions to the project.
Lastly, he talks about changes to technology names, including Mezzio, and the change from Apigility to Laminas API tools.
