Nicki, a catalog / lifestyle model came into the studio for a some quick looks. I wanted to build a lighting setup that allowed Nicki to turn any direction and still get quality light across the face and body.
I started with the largest light source available to create soft light.
I put it further away than I typically do to decrease the fall off. I put V flats on either side to bounce light back in and fill any shadows created when Nicki changed directions. Lastly I had a softbox on each side behind the V flats to fill in Nick's cast shadow on the background.
The result is a relatively evenly lit full body portrait that floats somewhere between typical lifestyle and ecommerce looks.
