In this video we put the Liberty Civil Defense 9mm 50gr Hollow Point to the test. Liberty was kind enough to send us their entire Civil Defense line, so look out for more Liberty test in future videos.
The Liberty Civil Defense 9mm features a 50gr monolithic all copper design that reaches incredible velocities. The advertised velocity of 2000 feet per second ensures that the bullet will fragment inside of the target.
The bullet has nine separate copper petals that are designed to rip off of the base of the round and create separate wound channels. This has two effects on target. First the copper shrapnel cuts through tissue which allows the target to bleed out faster. Secondly, the fragmentation of the projectile ensures that the kinetic energy of the round is quickly transferred into the target.
