Four Days with Kenny Tedford
CJ Liu interviews authors Paul Smith and Kenny Lee Tedofrd, Jr. on their book "Four Days with Kenny Tedford". Kenny Tedford was born with brain damage that left him with the intellectual ability of a 4th grader, deaf in both eyes, and legally blind in one eye, and partial paralysis on his left side. Despite being told by everyone around him that he would never amount to much due to his conditions, Kenny proved all of them wrong. At 55 years old Kenny earned a Master's degree and with Paul's help has written his life stories with Paul's help in the book. During the interview Kenny shares how teachers dismissed him, yet he never became a victim of his circumstance. Paul shares how his family and he learned about courage, faith, kindness, and humility through listening to Kenny's stories. It's often said that when someone loses one sense that their other senses become keener. Kenny explains how he had to learn to listen to stories as a child differently, which has created a very unique was of storytelling. Paul shares In the end, Paul and Kenny recall a story on how they met during a Story Telling conference.
