Highlights of Apico 2-Stroke Festival featuring Red Bull Pro Stroke National 2022
It started out as a club-level festival for grass roots riders to have fun. But now the Apico 2-Stroke festival has grown into something much bigger. While still keeping the ethos of that original event from 2017, it’s now got official British championship classes for modern 125 and Open two-strokes, plus Super Evo and Evo titles.
And the Apico 2-Stroke Festival now features the Red Bull Pro Stroke National where Britain’s best slug it out for top honours at the popular Sellindge track in Kent. This year, blessed by hot weather, a huge crowd watched close action in all classes, with Tommy Searle winning the MX1 from Conrad Mewse and Adam Sterry. Other aces included John Adamson, who was lucky to escape serious injury when he had a huge crash.
Plus there was top action from British championship regular Brad Todd, AMA Supercrosser Dylan Walsh, KTM’s hard-charging Liam Knight and many more. Such as Jamie Law, Josh Spinks, and super vets Brian Wheeler and Jon Barfoot going for it in the old bike classes.
