Excel Data Validation is a feature that restricts (validates) user input to a worksheet. Technically, you create a validation rule that controls what kind of data can be entered into a certain cell. We have a range of available built-in options like;
1. Allowing only numeric or text values in a cell.
2. Allowing only numbers within a specified range.
3. Allowing data entries of a specific length.
4. Restricting dates and time values outside a given range.
5. Restrict entries to a selection from a drop-down list.
6. Validating entries based on another cell and so much more.
