I will show you how to prepare to fight and defeat Eater of Worlds in Terraria. The Eater of Worlds is a giant worm boss found in the Corruption biome. When defeated, it drops shadow scales, which are used to craft Demonite armor and weapons. Killing this boss is also necessary for meteorites to appear in Corruption worlds. To summon the Eater of Worlds, there are two methods: breaking three shadow orbs or crafting worm food at a Demon Altar. Worm food requires 30 Vile Powder and 15 Rotten Chunks, with Vile Powder crafted at an alchemy table or placed bottle using Vile Mushrooms found in the Corruption. Rotten Chunks are dropped by various mobs in the Corruption biome. Before facing the boss, it's wise to create a boss arena. This involves expanding the cavern area, blocking off unnecessary tunnels, and setting up platforms for mobility. There are some effective weapons against Eater of Worlds like The Mace, Ball of Hurt, grenades, Vile Thorn, and Water Bolt. For an easier method, particularly in Classic and Journey modes, grenades are recommended. You'll need around 70 grenades, and wearing silver or tungsten armor is advised to withstand the boss's attacks. To start fighting, break the third shadow orb and enter your arena or use worm food. As the boss approaches, throw grenades at its body, and dodge head attacks. After all segments are gone, you will have successfully defeated the Eater of Worlds.
