MLV App Export Comparison / 3K VS 4K / NEW Magic Lantern BUILD / EOS M Vs FUJIFILM X-H1
Doing a couple of test in this video.
First, checking out the best export settings for the MLV App.
I tried exporting in 3 modes; CinemaDNG Lossless RAW, ProRes LT at the clips native resolution and also Prores LT upscaled to 4k (4096x2140). Spoilers: DNG Lossless gave the best results. Much sharper, less noise, better colors and faster exporting time... what's not to like?!
Second, running the latest Magic Lantern firmware (April 2022 build) on my Canon EOS M, I tested the latest 3k mode up against the native 4k from the good o FUJIFILM X-H1.
The 3k is very comparable to the 4k, and when you consider the cost of the EOSM setup against the X-H1... lets just say, "the image quality difference is NOT as big as the PRICE difference".
