Quick Clean Bicycle Cassette: Keep it looking like new!
In our continued series of tips, tricks and hacks, we show you how to do a quick clean cassette using a special Giant Stem Wire Pipe Cleaner which is 12mm in diameter. Regular wire pipe cleaners are too thin and don't scrub the outer edges & sides of the bicycle cassette as does the greater diameter 12 mm size. You can use this maintenance tip on a dirty cassette when doing bicycle maintenance, after a bike wash (when washing cassette), however I also use this technique every 150-200 miles even when riding in dry conditions, after washing cassette, cleaning cassette, degreasing cassette, or as a routine when doing our Quick 2 Minute Cleanup (Chain and Drivetrain Cleanup).
This hack will work on road bikes, mountain bikes, and gravel bikes.
