I'm a dev with ~10 years of professional experience and I've worked with React for more than 5 years iirc. I'm building an application as I would in a real team based on tasks and designs. The app has desktop and mobile designs. It will be covered with tests and documented with Storybook. I also use a professional Git workflow called Trunk-Based Development.
Today I’ll finalize the sidebar navigation that I’ve been working on for the last days. It’s built with styled-components and Storybook, and tested with Cypress.
This app will be part of my upcoming React Job Simulator where you'll be able to continue working on this app as if it was your first job as a React dev. You can find a waitlist here: https://profy.dev/waitlist
My plan is to make this an (almost) daily thing until the app is done. The usual time is around 9 or 9:30 am CEST.
Summary:
I had to fix a Cypress test that broke due to some changes yesterday.
The CI pipeline (GitHub Actions) failed due to a type error. Had to fix that.
Finally, I squashed & merged the Pull Request.
I worked on a new ticket to clean up the CSS a bit with some utility functions.
I used TDD (or something like that) to implement two utility functions.
I'm pretty happy with these functions since they make the CSS a lot more readable IMO.

Here is the PR for the utility functions: https://github.com/profydev/prolog-ap...
