darktable experimental module : negadoctor, film negatives inversion
This video is intended, at this time, for beta testers. Negadoctor is a module that inverts and simulate printing for scanned film negatives (color or B&W), using Kodak Cineon densitometry model. It allows a fast and accurate positive print emulation that enables further editing with the classic denoising and colour adjustments from darktable. This module is experimental and is not present at this time in darktable 3.0, it will be merged when proven stable enough.

As usual, backup your database before installing and work on test images separated from your production library.

This video has been recorded in HD 1080p at 10 images/second with mono sound in order to save up to 5 % bandwidth and 35 % of computing power to decode, compared to an average video (HD 1080p, 30 i/s, stereo). Video streaming has a major and increasing impact on environment, consume it responsibly.
