In this video, I talk about what preparation you need to do in the trampoline room before trying the frontflip / frontflip trick on a snowboard.
Preparation in the trampoline hall is divided into the following stages:
1. Learning to make a wheel.
2. Learning to do somersaults
3. Doing a preparatory exercise on the cube
4. Doing an Arab somersault from a hard surface into a hole
5. Doing an Arab somersault on a trampoline
1st exercise - wheel.
This exercise will help you understand in which plane our body should work on the front flip trick.
2nd exercise - classic forward somersault.
One of the most common lead-ups to this trick is the forward flip over the arms into the foam pit.
3rd exercise - on a cube.
This exercise helps to fully project the work of the body on the front flip. Moreover, it is as safe and effective as possible. It allows you to work out the push, tuck, the correct position of the body in the air and landing.
4th exercise - Arab somersault into the pit from a hard surface.
We will need to work out a good push from the front leg up. The twist is done as follows: the front hand goes down and the back hand goes up.
5th exercise - Arab somersault on a trampoline.
You can first jump into this trick into the pit, and then do it on the trampoline itself. This workout is to get a feel for the amplitude and power of the spin if you want to try a bigger frontflip on the springboard.
If you master these lead-in drills well, you are more likely to be able to frontflip in the snow.
Our snowboard school specifically has a separate course for training outside the snow on the trampoline and in the gym. The trampoline training course consists of 18 lessons with a total duration of 160 minutes. This course is designed both for those who have never jumped on a trampoline, and for those who already jump confidently. It is advisable to start learning jumps / new tricks on a snowboard from a trampoline. So you can safely work out the elements and then transfer them to the snow.
