WEIRD LIFE HACKS You NEED To Know! ROOM DECOR Edition!!!
Hey guys!! So in today’s video I’m going to mix my favorite things right now, life hacks and room decor. So I hope you like it!
FAKE WATER
So for the first one I’m going to show you a really easy way to make those fake water vases. First just fill a vase with water and pour that onto a pot. You will also need some pure gelatin or agar agar, I’m using six leaves for 1 and ¼ cups of water and I let them soak for 5 minutes in cold water.
Once the water in the pot is hot, add a little bit of vinegar and the soaked gelatin and let everything melt.
After that I poured the liquid onto this glass so I could see the color better and I added some food coloring in blue mixed with a little bit of water so it gives a slight tint and I poured that onto the vase through a funnel. Then arrange your fake flower however you want and let it set overnight. And that’s it! You will have a super cute vase that doesn’t spill water and a lot cheaper than acrylic mixtures.
EASY CLEANING
There are tones of hacks for cleaning little spaces little keyboards and things like that, but I think that the easiest one of all is just using a q-tip. It’s super simple to use and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue or anything!
TAGLED NECKLACES
I’m sure you have in your room a bowl full of tangled necklaces, so for me, the best way to store them is inside some mini zip log plastic bags. They won’t get tangled or get damage from the air and it makes it super easy to see everything and to choose which one you want to wear.
DEEP SHELVES
So if you have some deep shelves with lots of books sometimes it’s hard to see the ones that are in the back, so just take an old phone book or any book that you don’t really like and put them under the books at the back and that way you will be able to see them and choose the one you want.
SOCKS!
This is a super simple way of folding socks, so just fold them like so and put the toe part inside the hole like this and that’s it! The sock pairs will stay together and they will be super nicely folded.
NUTELLA CANDLE
Ok so the next one is not really a life hack, it’s just a room décor idea, so you will need an empty nutella jar like this and glue a candle wick at the bottom like so. Melt some wax, enough to fill the jar and add some melted chocolate or nutella, this will add some color and a little bit of scent. But don’t add too much or the candle won’t work. You can also add some wax crayons to make the color darker and finally pour that onto the nutella jar. Let it set and boom! Nutella candle perfect for your room!
WAX CLEANING?
So making the candle I thought that it would be useful to have a hack for cleaning wax stains, you know for little accidents and stuff. So I found a hack where you place a paper towel and add hot air with a hair dryer, it didn’t really work so I decided to use an iron, this worked a bit better and it get rid of some of the stain but not completely, so this hack it doesn’t work!
