Another one take video, this time to show that my Peavey Rockmaster preamp and Peavey Classic Series 60/60 power amp work quite well.
Some things not mentioned in the video...
The Rockmaster has an effects send and return for all three channels as well as an overall send and return. I do not use these however, rather I just run out of the Rockmaster into a Digitech 256XL, using a "Y" cord to feed both channels of the Digitech. I then run stereo out from the Digitech into the inputs of the Classic Series 60/60 power amp.
The power amp input volumes are set at noon. At normal home listening levels this is plenty, and the output on the Digitech serves as my master volume. For live gigs the Classic 60/60 has PLENTY of power for even quite large rooms. I have heard of people pushing 4 16 ohm 4x12's, two per side. I am sure that would be fun to move that much air!
The guitar is a Stratocaster I built using Warmoth parts, licensed by Fender. The body is lightweight swamp ash, neck is all maple. Pickups are Wilde USA (Bill and Becky Lawrence) L298 bridge and L280 middle and neck.
I will likely leave this video up for some time after the preamp and power amp sell, just for the entertainment of anyone curious about how this gear sounds.
The tubes in the power amp were Mesa 6L6GC. The preamp tubes were a mix of Ruby, Mesa, and Peavey.
I hope that you find some value in this. Have a high performance day!
