1. Before drawing up liquid, check to make sure the pipet is still set to the correct volume. It’s too easy for the dial to accidentally drift, especially if you’re doing mixings and stuff.
2. After you draw up the liquid, check to make sure that liquid was actually drawn up, the amount drawn up matches what it should be by eyeball (comes with experience) and that there aren’t bubbles or gaps.
3. After you push out the liquid, check to make sure it all actually came out (to make sure it comes out, be sure to keep your thumb pressed down until you’re all the way out of the liquid.
