Marcus Boerger
Born in Germany, I worked in Automotive research, then for Google for well over a decade in two continents as a C++ Staff Software Engineer, Uber Tech Lead, Tech product Owner and Tech Lead Manager. Throughout Google, I was known for my C++ contributions to tooling, testing and RPC, amongst other things. Outside Google, I am recognized as a PHP language designer and an avid Open Source contributor. I have presented more than 50 talks and workshops at international conferences. Having worked in Australia for a few years, I moved back to Zurich where skiing is just closer. Recently I joined Snyk, where I work on static language analysis and optimization.
