OWASP Dependency Check can detect publicly known or publicly disclosed vulnerabilities in project dependencies such as open-source components and source code, third-party libraries, and images. There are two videos in this series. The first shows how to install on Linux and the second explains how to use OWASP Dependency Check. The tool compares software components in the scanned project against Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) identifiers, and the associated Common Vulnerability and Exposure (CVE) database.
