Renaissance Vox from Waves is a very easy-to-use, but quite powerful dynamic processor designed specifically for mixing and mixing vocals. And in particular to suppress noise and other unnecessary sounds in the pauses between the voice.
How do I set up and use R-vox ?
It's simple! The plugin has only 3 controllers, Gate, Compressor, Gain

In the upper position, the sound is not compressed, and the lower position is set to -36 dB! Compression here goes immediately with automatic amplification of the output signal…
Next, gain is the volume control of the output signal…
It's simple… Set it up as you need it… Note only that the gain of the R-VOX at the zero position of the regulator does not clip the sound!
Well, the main parameter of the plugin is-Gate!
This parameter sets the amount of noise suppression and other unnecessary sounds in the pauses between the voice.
Do not look at the numbers here, and adjust only by ear... the Lower position is without compression, and the upper maximum...
Be careful with suppression, because the gate can easily eat the end of your voice !
