5 Ways to Create Round Robins (Alternating Samples) in Ableton Live
Round Robins are simply a way of playing a different sample of the same sound each time you press the same key, so that, like most acoustic instruments, each note sounds slightly different for added realism. This avoids the typical 'machine gun' sound.
In this tutorial, we're going to look at five different ways to create round robins. First, how it works in Live 12's Sampler, then two alternatives in Sampler for Live 11 and below. And last, but not least, I'll show you two options without Sampler that can be used even in Live Lite, as well as in older versions of Live.
