Introducing The National Garden Scheme Garden 🌳
We recently caught up with Tom Stuart Smith about his design for The NGS garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Tom loves to find rare and unusual plants to feature in his gardens. We’re looking forward to seeing how plant form and textures are celebrated in what will be a quiet, woodland garden, and anticipate the feeling of immersion he’ll create under the canopy of the large coppiced hazels.
🌳 WHO ARE THE NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME? 🌳
The National Garden Scheme is a wonderful charity that opens private gardens to everyone, donating the proceeds to some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Maggie’s, Hospice UK, Parkinson’s UK, Carers Trust and Horatio’s Garden.
🌱 CROCUS AT CHELSEA 🌱
This will be our 20th year at Chelsea, having previously worked on 36 show gardens, totalling 33 Gold Medals and 12 Best in Shows. Every year it’s exciting to start a new project and see it come to life. We can’t wait to see how this one develops.
