Ali "Zoe" Adam, one of the alleged founders of Zoe Pound, had involved himself in a business venture with Lil Wayne. According to DJ Vlad, during a time of tension between Wayne and Birdman, Wayne entrusted Ali with $250,000, hoping to see a profit. However, when the returns were slow, tensions flared. Ali, feeling disrespected by Wayne's dismissive attitude towards his music, allegedly took matters into his own hands—choking Wayne and confiscating his jewelry. The situation de-escalated when DJ Khaled intervened, eventually leading to the return of Wayne's valuables.
