in this video, I will share with you, how to enable a mailbox online archive in Microsoft office 365
but before this, If this is the first time you visit my channel, subscribe to my channel, and activate the notification bell, to be notified of new videos
first of all, you must have a retention policy ready for use
and now navigate to exchange admin center, mailboxes, and select the user you want to enable his or her online archive
The first step assign a retention policy to the user
go to manage mailbox policies, then edit, and select the retention policy you need
I will select default 2 years move to archive, and save
the second step enable online archive for the user
navigate to manage mailbox archive, then enable and save
The third step force immediate running for archive
by default this archive will start processing after 24 hours, to force it to start immediately
connect to the exchange online from your ad sync server
run this command from the Windows PowerShell
start -managedfolderassistant -identity [email protected]
as you see the process started
