Premiere Pro CC Add Text With The New Type Tool
Last week I showed you how you can begin to use Adobe's new Essential Graphics feature in the new Premiere Pro CC 2017 update. In this video I go into more detail about the new Type Tool and how you can animate text directly in Premiere Pro CC without having to go over to After Effects.
Some of the changes that you'll notice if/when you've updated to the latest version on Premiere Pro CC, is that there's a new panel in the Workspace area, called 'Graphics'. You'll also notice that the tool bar now has a Type tool. It's this Type Tool that you can use to begin adding text directly to the timeline and animating that text in the timeline too. All you have to do is:
1. Click the Type Tool in the toolbar
2. Click anywhere on the stage where you want your text to be
3. Start typing
4. Open the Editing panel
5. Apply any changes to the text as normal (font size, type, alignment, etc)
6. Twirl open Source Text or Transform
7. Begin animating any of the properties you want by using keyframes.
It's that simple!
