Making Videos Using Windows and Movie Maker
All the software I used is free to use or open source.
Movie Maker is included with Windows and free to download if you do not have it.

Gimp is open source graphics editor.

I use IQvid, I am sure there other ways to get tags, this is just easiest for me.

Others are easy to find with Google or included with windows.
Movie Maker is not a great editing program. It is however, included with Windows and a good beginner learning tool. When/If you are ready to find out a real editing tool I suggest you start your research with Pinnacle Software, CyberLink, and Adobe Premier Pro, as to really good places to start looking.
