Mercenaries: Easter Egg Attack Helicopter
Always thought this was a weird one. On the mission Persuasion, if you head straight south when starting the mission, especially by helicopter, you'll often see/hear an explosion in the hills. Investigation reveals the wreckage of a Chinese missile attack helicopter in this odd spot. My theory is that this helicopter was supposed to help support the battle and would have been due to arrive just as it began, but it was potentially cut at the last moment and the resource wasn't completely removed, causing it to spawn in at a bad position with no pilot. It's difficult but possible to save and use the copter.
Honestly it would have dramatically changed the mission, as it was in my previous video it's not exactly difficult to get the Chinese to hold the city on their own with a few extra soldiers and vehicles. The addition of this powerful copter to their side would have turned it into a wash. Perhaps the developers wanted to emphasize the Merc's divisive influence rather than giving the player a chance to sit the battle out.
