Timecode reliability Test: FX3 vs FX6 vs BMPCC 6K vs URSA 12K vs F8n
Should you keep the timecode generator connected, or is it not necessary and how reliable are the internal clocks. I have dealt with this question in more detail and tested various devices.
I've tested: Zoom F8n, Sony FX3, Sony FX6, Blackmagic Pocket 6K, 6K Pro, Ursa Mini Pro 12K and Deity TC-1. There are more things to watch out for and know about. In fact, the most reliable solution is to leave the Timecode generator connected.
