Yes, yes, I know. I've done this before. But I like going back through my old projects and re-doing them with all the new things I've learned over the past 2 years.
My overall goal this time was to achieve a more physically accurate, organic look, rather than a very "digital" look.
Notable changes over the previous version:
Moved from 30p to 24p (TNG was filmed at 24p), which required me to re-time all my animation
Added film grain
Re-made the opening shot from scratch
Used more physically accurate lighting on the planets at the start
Better shader on the Enterprise (I opted for a more metallic look this time)
Re-framed all the titles so that they look correct in the 4:3 ratio
Re-made the warp tunnel to look more like the one in the real titles
Changed the "warp boom" effect

Compositing: Adobe After Effects CC 2019
