Showing paper sketches of my underscore to one of the most epic moments in Mortal Kombat 11, when the heroes finally storm Kronika's Keep. The tracks "Fire God Ascension" and "Immortal Kombat" from the soundtrack album are from this scene in the game.

I present my paper sketch as well as the visuals, with music featured more prominently in the mix so that details can be heard. Annotations have been added to call out character/faction leitmotifs, give credit to live performers, and explain some of the changes I made between paper sketch and production/orchestration.

I hope this gives some insight into my process, and encourages other folks to try paper sketching!
