Using 48GB GPU RAM to Render 16K Mandelbrot Plots
In this video, we push the limits of high-resolution computation and visualization using a powerful NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada edition GPU. This GPU, with its whopping 48GB of RAM, enables us to render Mandelbrot plots at an unprecedented resolution of 16K.
The backbone of our code is PyTorch, a widely-used deep learning framework. Using PyTorch allows us to fully harness the computational power of the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada through NVIDIA CUDA, which is the heart and soul of GPU-accelerated computing.
We also show you how to craft a mesmerizing zoom video of the rendered plots with ffmpeg, a leading multimedia framework. This step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the process of creating stunning zoom-ins that reveal the fractal beauty of the Mandelbrot set in incredible detail.
