Excel Basics: Stacked Column Charts Explained (Including a Demo of How to Create One)
Unlike standard column charts that compare individual data points side by side, Stacked Column charts layer data in segments within a single column, highlighting both the cumulative total and the contribution of each segment.
This approach is perfect for visualizing complex data, like breaking down a football club's revenues into matchday sales, merchandise, and broadcasting rights, all within one cohesive chart.
