First stage of the project „My right to know“.
Children from Primary School „Podrinje“ in refugee settlement Mihatovići had a chance to learn about different topics of human rights through different workshops and exercises. They were encouraged and motivated to talk about children's rights and our goal was to show them what kind of rights they have, why are these rights so important and universal and what is the way or how it looks to define and harmonize the same. Also, attention was focused on the right on education as one of the fundamental rights in their age. During the teamwork in the creation of an ideal state, workshop of professional orientation, forming and writing opinions about each other, children did not have just a game and fun, especially having in mind that this is the first time for them to be a part of the story about non-formal education. They learn about something new and get skills that will be useful for their personal development. Their will and motivation and active participation helped us to shoot a documentary film on the promotion of children's rights, whose dressing and publication represents the next phase of our project.
