Proverbs 21:5 (NLT) ~ "Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty"
Those who think before they act, and who think well, tend to see better results than those who act on impulse or at the last moment. As a proverb, this is meant as a general statement, not an absolute guarantee. Attentive people can suffer loss, and careless people can stumble into success.
Matthew 17:20 (KJV) ~ "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
Jesus uses the mustard seed as a metaphor for active faith, and he's reminding his disciples of the power of genuine faith. Jesus is also rebuking the disciples for their weak faith, and he's telling them that if they had stronger faith, they could have commanded a demon to leave the son of a man who was being afflicted by it. If we all choose to have genuine faith towards God, we too can have the power to do great things with the help of our Lord and Savior.
