Fix BSOD Black Screen of Death via USB Crisis Mode BIOS Flashing for Steam Deck OLED Steam Deck LCD
Preface - thanks to stanto.com for reverse engineering the Steam Deck BIOS for this method.
This will allow you to flash BIOS updates without the need for SteamOS. BIOS update will be triggered by Crisis Mode. Insert a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive that contains the BIOS update, perform the button combination for Crisis Mode and it will automatically flash the BIOS from the USB flash drive!
Use this method if your Steam Deck is stuck on the dreaded BSOD - black screen of death! Or if you have a Steam Deck that is running solely on Windows and you need to perform a BIOS update.
This is also handy for Steam Deck OLED running Windows only - update the BIOS using this method to be able to use Bluetooth.

02:20 - Rename the BIOS file depending on the Steam Deck model - f7grecovery.fd for Steam Deck OLED, or f7arecovery.fd for Steam Deck LCD
