Eve online - upwell control + log off (4 of 4)
TL;DW - even a CEO logging off (choosing 'quit' in esc menu OR quit via the 'x') will prevent people from taking control of the structure...thus a character will NEVER reclaim control of the upwell once logged back into the game proper
so the old issue of a logged out character will never prevent someone else from gunning it....unless, ofc, there's that weird artifact of the local chat where you still see a person you literally logged off hanging there...that might be the rare situation that might still prevent taking control, but i will not waste more time on this rumor.
my chatter in earlier videos in this series about swearing i'd seen myself log back in and still in control was probably misremembering i already logged in that character previously and took control, before i logged a bunch of clients into the game.
