Goals
I used to place tremendous value on reaching goals as quickly as possible, that somehow accomplishments were more significant the younger you were when you checked them off. Conversely, with each passing year, the window of opportunity to pursue my dreams seemed to get smaller and smaller. And new dreams? Forget about those.
I've come to realize that there is so much satisfaction -- perhaps even more so -- when you reach your goals after years of perseverance, when you truly appreciate the little victories along the way and when you embrace unexpected plot twists in your journey.
This next decade, I hope that you push aside whatever it is that's holding you back, that you reach for every single one of your goals, and that you remain open to all the ways that life will surprise you. Go write that book, start that blog, plan that trip, take that chance.
