Automated Detection of Disease Using Expressive Human Signals (Dr. Mary Pietrowicz)
The Center for Artificial Intelligence is pleased to host Dr. Mary Pietrowicz on May 16, 2023 to speak at a special seminar on "Automated Detection of Disease Using Expressive Human Signals". Dr. Pietrowicz is a research scientist at the Applied Research Institute at the University of Illinois and a Health Innovation Professor at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She is an affiliate at the Center for Social and Behavioral Science, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. The goals of her current work are 1) improving and accelerating screening and diagnosis for selected diseases and health states, 2) creating systems that can do this at scale and convenience, and 3) deploying engaging systems that deliver therapy and support using novel, quantified, integrative techniques.
