The Middle East and North Africa are among the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions, with extreme heat, water scarcity and marine heat stress threatening livability, food and water security, biodiversity and political stability. At the same time, many MENA economies rely heavily on oil and gas. How should they mitigate, adapt to and build resilience against climate change, while accelerating a green transition? In countries with unstable political situations, how can governments, businesses and civil society work together to shape a sustainable future that benefits everyone?
